Indiana snapped a streak of over 25 years today when they entered the AP Poll at #24. The last time Indiana was ranked was September 1994. It was the longest drought among P5 schools.

Now on the hot seat - Purdue, they have not been ranked since 2007.

Also, Cal received mentioned in the "Longest time since finishing as a ranked team in the AP Poll" category. Here is the current list...

1988 Indiana
2000 Iowa State
2003 Purdue
2003 Minnesota
2004 Virginia
2006 Rutgers
2006 California
2006 Wake Forest
2007 Kansas
2007 Illinois
2007 Boston College

It appears that Minnesota has a darn good chance of being taken off the list this year and Wake Forest has a shot as well. Who knows, maybe Indiana will also be removed.

I grew up in Indiana. Football was something you did while waiting for basketball season to start. Shocking the Hoosiers can be ranked at this point in the season.

They are in the Big Ten West, so anything's possible.
