Three Bears Involved in NFL Conference Championships
Three former Cal football players will be involved in Sunday’s NFL Conference Championship games on Sunday, Jan. 19..
The most prominent of course is quarterback Aaron Rodgers (above) who led the Green Bay Packers past the Seattle Seahawks (and Marshawn Lynch) on Sunday, Jan. 12. He and the Pack will be facing the 49ers in the NFC Championship at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. The same field where Cal won the Redbox Bowl last month.
Rodgers will be joined by defensive end James Looney, who is on the Packers’ practice squad.
In the AFC title game tackle Mitchell Schwartz will be starting for the Kansas City Chiefs when they take on Tennessee at Arrowhead Stadium.
