I am Sad to share the news that Steve passed early this morning. Steve was an important member of the very successful Cal Teams back in the early 1970s. He played with the likes of Herm Edwards and Karl Crumpacker in the defensive backfield. And was very close friends with many of his team mates such as Chuck Hextrum, Steve Rivera, John Dixon and Jack Clark. Steve went on to be a standout rugby player at Cal and later won several championships with THE OLD BLUES Rugby Club.

He was a true Cal Fan till his last breath and will be missed

Very sad news. He was one of the foundations of the annual Big Game SF Football Players' luncheon. I was thinking of him, the gathering and what would happen this year. He was a great Bear.

The last name is spelled: Steve Grealish

Is that Steve Gritsch? His teammate Pat Micco recently passed.

I wonder if this was the same Steve Gritch I rushed for my fraternity back then. Knew him briefly but nice guy. Sorry for his passing.
