Looking at today's FB contests, I noticed that there are 5 PAC-12 games, televised by Fox, ESPN (2) and FS1 (2). And that's when I realized that there were no games televised by the PAC-12 network.

Am I missing something here?
Has this been going on all season?
Does PAC12 network only pick-up games if other networks give them a pass?
If so, then how is it that our conference games are now so popular with other networks?
Or has the PAC-12 network now given up covering FB games?

The tier 1 TV networks (Fox, ESPN) have a contract to televised a set number of games (around 40?) And they pay big money.

There were at most 42 (7 weeks x 6 games), so nothing left for the P12 Network, except some late rescheduled games (I think just CU vs SDSU has been on p12N as the schedule had been set form that Saturday) and week 7 non championship games. FS1 has picked up the Sunday games, which is somewhat surprising given the bad ratings.

With the cancellations, the big networks won't get their full allotment either, which likely means they will get a discount in the tens of millions.

Fortunately(?), Cal Basketball games still have a low enough viewership where they are Pac 12 network material!
