After a wild three and a missed pull-up shot from the free-throw line, Foreman finds Bradley across the court for an open three. That's the type of offense the Bears need from Foreman. Creating for Bradley and Anticevich who have been shooting much better.

O'Connell picking up two quick fouls and Betley seeing the bottom of the net on his first three-point attempt are both good developments for Cal.

Stanford shooting 63% but also have five turnovers.

Refs calling a lot, so best to attack and draw contact.

I LOVE the lineup of Brown, Bradley, Celestine, Anticevich, Kelly.

That's the most positionless lineup Cal might have. You've got four guys that can knock down the outside shot and a lot of athleticism.

Four turnovers over the last three minutes is not an ideal way to end a half. Especially when they're unforced turnovers 40 feet from the hoop and runouts for the opponent.

This Cal team is borderline unwatchable. Horrible defense and turnovers galore. Anticevich is having a terrible game so far, and as usual we are getting virtually nothing from our bench. Stanford's bench has scored 14 points in the first half, and Cal's bench has scored 5. We are really starved for talent.

Kelly has been decent when he's been in. But he only got nine minutes thanks to a couple of fouls. Fox desperately searching for someone to put a stop on da Silva and was rotating through Kelly, Thorpe, Thiemann.

Still a half to play. Cal can turn it on at home.

All of the offense was going through Bradley and then he cooled off a bit. Gotta have someone else step up. But we've seen this team come out and play a good half after laying a turd. Lots of game left to play.

In unrelated college hoops news, Pacific (in Stockton) is up one on No. 1 Gonzaga at home. I still expect Gonzaga to win by 20+, but it's notable.

Fox making a smart move starting the half with Kelly and Thiemann together. That's made things in the paint a lot tougher for Stanford. Cal also getting some friendly whistles and about to bring this back into a couple of possessions.

I preferred when they didn't knock you out, just got you real stoned, so I could watch on the monitor. A few years ago they changed the protocol and put you out. That was my first time being put out ever.*
