I just want to take a little time to thank the Bears' players and staff for providing us some positivity during these times. Although the record isn't good this has been one of my favorite teams to watch (60 years worth) because they have shown determination, heart, tenacity, and competitiveness despite adversity. Also, there has been no hint of scandal or cheating (looking at you Arizona). They conduct themselves well on the court with a minimum of woofing or disrespect for the opponent.
This has been a rough stretch for me personally. My wife is going through the tortures of chemotherapy, I was recently diagnosed with a blood clot in my leg, and it's -17 degrees outside as I type this. Not to mention Covid and political crises. However, I know my wife will get through it (we think we caught it early, don't avoid your colonoscopies, physicals, etc.), blood thinner is coursing through my veins, and I know soon I will be hacking up my beloved golf course. Thursday we get out 2nd Pfizer shot and Trump is gone.
So, thank you Bears for reinforcing that sticking with it, sticking together, and believing in yourself usually produce positive outcomes. I assume for some, perhaps many, this is a bit maudlin but it's how I feel. Peace out. Go Bears
