A bit early, but I'm about to be away from the computer until the game starts. So let's get this thread going!

Lots of good hoops on in the meantime. I've been switching back and forth between Texas/Texas Tech and Tennessee/Auburn.

Bears are an eight-point dog today, according to KenPom. Torvik is a bit more generous and puts them at -5.5. ESPN less generous at -9.

Who thinks the Bears pull the upset?!

Will cover the Sportsbook line of +9 overall and +5 first half. Think it will be competitive though short of winning. Will need 3 point shooting in the 40% range and no deficit in rebound totals to pull off the upset. These guys need a morale booster for sure!

Not off to the best of starts (down 8-2). We really can't afford to be turning the ball over too much against this team.

Collin Morikawa is creating a tempting channel toggle.if Collin pulls it off tomorrow, I would like to know the last time players from the same college golf program won PGA tourneys in consecutive weeks.

Our offense looks best when it goes through Kelly, he can either back down his defender and score, often getting his defender off his feet, or kick out when help comes

Once the ball is outside we swing the ball to an open shooter

Our problem is our shooters haven't hit that shot enough

Down 18-10. If we weren't ICE COLD, we'd be right in the game. Maybe even with a lead.

Well, we just heated up a little. Not sure what's happening down there with your aunt.

Meanwhile, we're down 34-27 at the half.

cal within striking distance, but bradley needs to get going, and someone needs to step up and have a big game (in addition to Kelly)

Announcer said Bradley flopped

That was NOT a flop. They collided like a freight train

I'd like to see what the announcer would have done if he got hit that hard

He'd probably be in the hospital

That darn Duarte just stuck the knife in... and then gave it a twist. He's a ball player.

If you have the ability to sign on to a provider that carries pac a
12, sign on to the the provider site and watch on i pad. Xfinity is working on i pad. Must be a different feed.

Terrible sequence of turnovers and sloppy play there. NOT COMPETITIVE (at this moment).

No.. pac 12 app on apple tv has been having issues most of the second half of pac 12 season. It has worked fine for me the last year other than recent problems. I complained but got no response. They are not transmitting a large enough packet, in my opinion or there is something wrong with the cameras in Haas. Last two road games were fine. Xfinity wont allow you to stream to apple tv but there is an option for chromecast. I may buy one for next year. If the pac 12 tourney is ok, then the problem must be what they are doing at Cal.
Go Bears!

Damn Ducks doing a LITTLE BIT too much celebrating/showboating on our home court, IMO. Uncool. Okay, sure, our best response to that is always to just play better, but...

Classic. I tune in and see Bradley rip a rebound, dribble up court, draws three Ducks to himself, smartly passes to wide open person in the corner who .... doesn't put up a shot, but dribbles it back to top of key..... and no score.

Hyder playing well
Hyder is doing some things well (hitting some shots and a nice pass to Lars after drawing people to him), but he is also making some bad plays. He dribbles WAY too much, basically killing any kind of offense. His dribble, dribble, dribble and then jack up fall away 17-20 footers that aren't even close is not good offense and not what you want from your point guard. He also just turned the ball over on the press, then let the guy have a wide open 3 to put them up 16. I think the issue is that we have him playing point guard when he is obviously NOT a point guard. Problem is, we don't have anyone to back up Brown really. I also don't think Hyder shoots well enough to be considered a shooting guard.

I question Bradley coming back next year just because the dude is a warrior and it has to be really frustrating playing on a team that is so bad.

Our offense isn't doing anyone any favors either. It is all too easy to defend. All Oregon has to do is switch on our movement and we run right to where the defender is. The only one who backdoors is Bradley and it only happens 1-2x per game. Very few off ball screens after the initial set, and when we do set them, we set them poorly.

I would much prefer Fox play the young guys and we move on from Foreman, Betley and Anticevich. We need to play our more athletic players and get them some experience.

Some good ideas. I agree about Bradley, but what are Matt's options?

Matt will be back to finish his degree and he knows he needs to improve as well to get where he wants to. Great young man, respectful, driven and focused. Personally hope there is some attrition elsewhere, to allow the program to upgrade our athleticism.

4thGen, do I understand correctly that -- next season only -- teams in college hoops can exceed the normal schollie limit (due to the pandemic)? By how many? If so, then keeping guys like Foreman only hurts us in terms of possible lack of minutes for the up-and-comers.
