How could they have any chance at all of making the NCAA tourney? Are any experts still saying that they have a chance outside of winning the pack 12 tournament?

Stanford checked out of the bubble the wrong way with an embarrassing 79-42 shellacking at USC. That is the fourth straight loss for the Cardinal and two of those are bad losses. There is no reason to believe Stanford can play its way into the field as an at-large team now.

Contrary to popular opinion, Hasse said he hopes to have a full roster for the tournament. So rumors that Davis was off the team appear to be false. We wont know for sure until 5 minutes before the game starts. They beat us like a drum, both times ,with players missing so I would not get my hopes up, even if the vaunted Dasilva cant play. The freshman will no doubt play lime seniors. No Doubt.

Last time I thought not only did Da Silva pick us apart at both ends but his presence made also made it easier for the rest of them to shine. I'd like to play them without Da Silva to find out if my theory holds water.

O Conell is a pretty fair point guard. Plays hard and is smart. .

Oregon State is 10-9 and Stanford is 10-10. If Oregon State loses to Oregon, they'd also be 10-10. The tiebreaker is first head-to-head. OSU and Stanford split this season. The second tiebreaker is the head-to-head matchups with the top team in the conference, then the second-best, third-best, and so on. If Oregon wins, they'll be the No. 1 team in the conference. OSU beat Oregon in Eugene while Stanford lost twice. So OSU would get the tiebreaker.

So we get the hated furd once again in the tournament. Maybe the pac12app will fail again. Dont see how we stand a chance unless someone gets hot from three and they guard that pretty well.Unless Hasse is blowing smoke Davis and Dasilva will play. Even if they dont, we will be hard pressed to win if we end up with Bradley taking all the shots.

On another note, who will be everyones favorite Cindarella team in the tournament? Someone should do a consensus bracket here.

This is the fourth season in a row that we've sucked, with Furd having a better record each year. And yet, how many times have we beaten them since Cuonzo left, 4-5?

I'm going with the Golden Bears to win!

If he still doesn't but Davis and Willis does (I think they will) then Stanford will still have a lot of firepower and Davis and Willis will be steaming and probably go off on us

But without desilva it will be a fight as he just shedded us or took all our defensive focus

It's been a bit odd as last season, Cal held Da Silva under his season scoring average in all three games played against the Cardinal (8 points, 13 points, 4 points). He's improved this season, but wow, he owned Cal this year, going for 24 and 23.

Yes, plus 33 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists from Austin and South which allowed us to play a lot of Thorpe, KK and Lars inside to neutralize DaSilva.

The formula may have to be different this time but they are eminently beatable and we have beaten better. Maybe we try zone against them? It has worked for others.

Haase probably has another year or two. He is a good recruiter, whose teams swoon as the season progresses and not live up to expectations. You can make all the excuses you want, but when this type of season becomes a trend, it defines you. A couple games ago, Haas sat his two best players the entire game in the interest of obtaining more "cohesive" play. That just says volumes about his inability to coach talent. So thumbs-up on number 2 since college coaching is about recruiting (good) and player/team development (poor).
