How long do you want to ignore this user?
Good to see Rod posting at the SFGATE

Wonder which player he slapped!

Thx for posting.
Nice to see Rod writing as well.

Benson sees a certain amount of himself in Wiseman, and I can see why he says that.
Rod was a quiet kid lacking confidence and involvement in that huddle. I recall him looking at us up into the stands during timeouts, rather than being mentally with the team.
Wiseman's look is not Benson's, which included perhaps a little smirk about the scene. Wiseman is more serious and wanting to do the right thing. But Wiseman is like Benson in that they both began as a bit overwhelmed by the surroundings. Unnatural. Not relaxed and ready to imprint upon.

Benson is right in that Wiseman needs to find his own Eye of the Tiger.

And there's nothing wrong with the fact that he doesn't have it yet. He's merely 20 years old.
We can wait a number of years. He's under contract for 3 more after this one. No hurry.

Keep it coming, Rod. Glad to see you've worked your enjoyment and talent for writing into a gig at the Chron.
(And I shudder to recall myself at 18, 19, 20.)
