The kid is a phenomenal athlete, a great slasher, great defender, is long, quick, and strong, but just cannot shoot a lick.

He should be playing football. He'd be a great WR or DB. I'd love to see him walk-on like Wes Howell did in 82 (which led to an NFL career).

IIRC, he entered the transfer portal last year. I guess this means he never transferred. I am glad that he will be getting his Cal degree, but I only wish his basketball career worked out better at Cal.

He's now eligible for the vaccine, too, right?

Man, came across this video recently. I know I wasn't the only one super excited about his athleticism and potential. Glad he got his Cal degree. Hopefully he can play somewhere next year, WCC could be a good option. Maybe SJSU, they have a new coach.

A rather hyperbolic assessment of a decent athlete who defended aggressively but, if I recall correctly, was often in foul trouble as a result. Congratulations on his getting his degree. I wish him well in his future endeavors.

I was Juhwan's biggest fan

Elite athlete, long, great defender (he wasn't always a great defender, as he reached too often and made too many silly fouls, but he cleaned it up in his last year)

Never got his shot right, and wasn't a great finisher at the rim, but improving incrementally in both areas

If I'm coach, I always want a lock down defender on my team like him. I'll remember him with the steal, and winning score at the buzzer vs SD State. He was fouled, but they called it on the floor. He hit both FTs to win the game.

A moments was McKinley had the ball for the last play with Colorado down one. Coach put Juhwan on him, and he locked McKinley. He didn't even get a shot off.

Congrats for getting a Cal degree, and still getting back in basketball as a grad transfer!

As a freshman, JHD was even more Jorge than Jorge was, netting more steals and fouling about the same. With the help of good coaching, Jorge was able to maintain his steals while reducing his fouling. His senior year he was clearly less aggressive on defense. JHD has not had the benefit of the coaching Jorge received.
