Asymptomatic, infection apparently. According to the Chron, though, at an earlier date Jaylen made some comments suggesting he was not that enthusiastic about the vaccine. Does anyone know if he was vaccinated? I couldn't tell from the article. If not, I am disappointed. A Cal man, especially a thoughtful one like Jaylen with a focus on communities, should know better.

The Celtics season opener is @ Madison Square Garden, so there might additional restrictions on unvaxxed players there (home players can't even play).

There are basically no regular tests for covid if vaccinated, so not sure how one would be testing if asymptomatic unless unvaccinated.

Don't they automatically get tested if they come in "close contact" with someone else who tested positive? This was how my daughter got her first school quarantine this fall... was at an outdoor, masked birthday party and the host father, vaccinated, came down with symptoms ("breakthrough case"). The NBA p[layers aren't in a bubble like they were last season.

The main reason I think Brown is vaccinated is that the names of the high profile players who aren't have leaked out and been publicized (Kyrie Irving and Bradly Beal being the most notable). Look at all the pub Andrew Wiggins got and he has a lower profile than Jaylen Brown.

Kyrie Irving and Andrew Wiggins got national publicity because the cities they play in enacted strict Covid protocols that would prevent them from playing home games if they remain unvaccinated. There will be some other players in the NBA who will remain unvaccinated, but won't be restricted from playing because their home cities don't have these rulings in place. These latter unvaccinated players won't receive the same level of publicity.
