This is it. UNLV up 30-29 at half. Both teams look bad. I would pay good money for a film session with Mark Fox if he would describe what the team is trying to do offensively. They run around a little and make some passes, but I honestly cannot figure out what the goal is. Shepherd doing a good Don Coleman impression. Kuany hit a 3 and made a steal that he dribbled down the floor for a layup. He should transfer if Fox is not fired at the end of the year, there is a good player buried within.

Sad to see so few people at Thomas & Mack. Was there for a game in the 80s when it was packed. But this version of the Rebels is awful. I do, however, expect them to win.

Damn.

UNLV Is shooting 29.4% from 3. That's red-hot compared to their last game.

Grant looks like he is feeling it. And out of the last timeout they set a nice screen for him, but in general he is taking very difficult shots. Shepherd is shooting more like his career average than his first game.

Celestine and Foreman are playing, fwiw. Celestine looks rusty.

He had injury problems at South Alabama...and had to take a leave of absence in 2019.

I hope he got a degree along the way.

With under 8 minutes Cal up 46-44. They are rebounding very well at the defensive end. Grant A. has his stroke down. UNLV is worse than UCSD. Growing up near the UCSD campus with them playing D3 at the time, that last sentence is weird to me.

Not really. Teams are perfectly matched. This is not like the UCSD game where they were clearly better.
