1) Despite all the normal bickering about Fox' coaching and shot selection, the play we ran at the end when we were down by one was A) strategically perfect move - our best 3 point shooter getting a perfect look, and being enabled to square up uncontested at the top of the key, B) perfectly executed by the team EXCEPT of course, Grant's shot did not drop, and damnit it almost did.

2) We DID NOT look like a team that is going to finish last in the Pac 12.

Yup, I did not have high hopes for this year as the top end talent is lacking, but they sure played their hearts out in the Seton Hall game. Well done.

Agreed that this is hugely encouraging. We played much better defense and showed we have the potential to be capable on that end of the court. And I don't think any of us had an idea that Kelly could be this special. Just like many others, I have bemoaned the lack of year-to-year improvement from individual players, but there is no denying Andre Kelly has dramatically improved his game every single year. Good for him and good for us.

Against good teams on the road we played three good halves out of four. I'm pleased to say that exceeded my expectations.

In the advanced stats, Kelly has been our best player per minute over the last three years. I have been advocating that he be an unquestioned starter all along.
