Grant reminds me of one of those under the radar St Mary's players that torch Cal

As a stretch 4, who has improved his rebounding and defense, he's been a major player for this team ever since he got off the bench (he was an afterthought for Martin)

Congrats for the award

Make his parents go to every game.

He completely stood out in the Wyking years as the one person playing sound basketball. I'm glad he's persevered and gotten his opportunity. I think he's also been a glue guy who's doing important things even when his shot isn't going down.

His rebounding this year has been a revelation. Greatly improved and he has put up some big numbers.

Grant seems like a great guy. I believe his folks are out here watching him play in person right now, correct? For the record, I have totally forgiven him for making me feel old by calling me "sir" a couple of years ago.

If I had some Cal Basketball wishes for the New Year, one would be that Grant hits 30%+ on his threes in every single remaining game this season. (He will have several games where he shoots considerably better than that, but he has always been streaky, so I wish he had a 30% "floor".)

(Another wish would be that Fox would land a really good class-of-2022 point guard. Hmmm... maybe I will make this a separate thread.)

If you believe in forever
Then life is just a one-night stand
If there's a rock and roll heaven
Well you know they've got a hell of a band
