First of all, like everyone else I feel bad for a true gamer like Andre, glad the injury does not appear to be a career ender.

So for the sake of discussion, a couple of things to mention:

Obviously, Coach Fox' recruiting ability appears to be a problem, but let's use this unfortunate injury to evaluate Fox's in season coaching ability to make adjustments. Not necessarily in W/L results, but from the eye test of seeing if he changes anything now that Andre is out. I will be curious to see if he makes any strategic changes moving forward, or if he will simply keep everything the same. It goes without saying, Lars is not going to do what Andre did as far as production, so will there be some strategic changes implemented? I had mentioned earlier this season that I was disappointed that Fox did not have a contingency lineup featuring both Andre and Lars, which leads me to believe he may not change anything other than the rotation minutes. If that is the case, then he should be critiqued for it.

Secondly, the two guys that really have to step up are Grant and Kuany. They are upperclassmen and for Cal to be close to competitive they will have to be better. For one thing, they both cause too many turnovers. They are going to have to make better decisions on the court, and be tougher on the boards. Perhaps they don't have the talent to improve, but I guess we will see.

That's what I got for now.

Yes I read in the Chron this morning that Kelly's season is over. Feel so bad for him, he was doing so well.
