Love Tyrone Wallace. He was my youngest's first favorite player and he (my son), also a tall PG, emulated TW by developing a floater at a young age. Happy to see TW is making it happen.

I like Wallace a lot. Still do. But, that stat must be from G-League not NBA (Long Island Nets, not, Brooklyn Nets). Please correct me if I am wrong.

NBA G League Stats | Season Leaders

Scroll down to TW at #35. Not 100% certain that his stats include the 40-point-game, but....

Note: 46.3% from three

Also, 2.4 A/TO ratio

The Nets (Brooklyn) are quite screwed up at the moment, so who knows?

If only he could shoot 3's, he'd be playing in the NBA nightly. Even if you can do everything else (which he can), you can't have a guard in today's NBA shoot 20% from 3. Hell, you can't even have a 4 shoot 20% from 3 anymore.

Yes, the post was made by the NBA G-league

But 8 3-pointers?

He must have put a ton of shots up in the gym to improve his shooting to have 8 3s on any level, although interesting is the photo in the post still shows his ugly shooting form

Thanks for starting this thread. One of my fave players as well. He put up 37 in a game earlier in the week.

In that game TW went for 37 pts 6 rebs 4 assists

on 4 for 7 from three

With Hardin gone, Irving (I don't keep up with when/if/how he plays...I give up), KD injured, Harris coming
off an injury
and Ben Simmons coming in whenever......the Nets have lost 10 straight.

OT: the two 'super-teams' have crashed and burned miserably

I remember the criticism when KD went to the Warriors and created a 'super-team'

guess it's not so simple huh?

Yeah. AND

Lebron & Co are 26-31 and falling fast. I know they did win a ring, but......

There are four likely HOFers: LJ, AD, Russ and Carmelo

i guess there are arguments against Russ....

I've never liked Carmelo or Westbrook because they never make a team better

Seriously, there are some "super teams" that seemingly just consist of 3-4 NBA all-stars thrown together randomly.

Who in the world would think that adding Westbrook and Carmelo to the Lakers would be a positive? (I guess I'm asking you, LeBron.) Durant, Kyrie and Harden together? I don't think so.

The Warriors' strength is that their stars compliment one another and they have all bought in to winning with a coach's system.

He always needed a reliable outside shot. Maybe he gets a shot at the NBA?

He did for the Clippers here and there. He presents matchup problems at the 1 and 2 on D because of how long he is. I think he's capable of making threes, like Jaylen was capable at Cal, but developed it in the League. Hope he makes it back. Go Bears!

This a very strange post, considering you are replying to a post that showed his stats this season in the G League includes 46% from 3 (on almost 5 3PA per game).

With all due respect, I think you are mistaken on this. Jaylen was the second worst in the rotation on a team of poor three point shooters, except for Mathews and Bird. Here are the numbers for some of the players from sports-reference.com:

For the 2015-16 season:

Mathews 0.416
Bird 0.409
Domingo 0.306
Wallace 0.298
Brown 0.294
Singer 0.270

For their careers:

Brown 0.294
Wallace 0.292
Singer 0.275
Domingo 0.201

The NCAA average was probably about 0.350 for threes. The good three point shooters are all over 0.400 and some get to 0.500. I don't thing any Cal fan would describe Sam Singer at 0.270 as "capable", and Brown was only slightly better than Singer. I think Brown's improvement in the NBA system, whether it is coaching or hard work on his part, or both, I think what he has done since leaving Cal is incredible. Maybe he is more comfortable shooting from longer range than the NCAA circle. Has Brown improved his free throw shooting in the NBA? At Cal, he shot them poorly (for a wing or guard) at 0.654.

Wallace is an incredibly hard worker, so hopefully he can make the same improvement. It would be great to see.

KAB can speak for himself but I think you misunderstood his post. He was saying Wallace got a shot in the NBA with the Clippers.

Durant, Kyrie and Harden went 13-3 when they all played together. It's not a fit issue when they play together; elite talent trumps everything. It's a Kyrie is bat**** insane and KD is always hurt problem. A season and a half together and they literally only played 16 games.
