What does the textbook say a defender is supposed to do when he has established his position to seal off his opponent from doing a layup….and then the opponent picks up his dribble and Euro steps around him for an unimpeded layup?

The refs willed Duke to a victory in this game.

At first I was disappointed that Puke won….but then I thought to myself, it is going to be more pleasurable to watch them lose deeper into The Dance.

When I'm watching these games, it's a basketball that I barely recognize...

Extra steps when going to the hoop is not traveling anymore.

Shuffling the feet as a player catches a pass isn't traveling anymore.

Blatant palming isn't palming anymore; it's just dribbling.

Offensive player allowed to initiate body contact with a defender for purposes of creating space or drawing a foul is permitted. (This has really gotten out of control over the course of the 21st century. Thanks, James Harden.)

Fortunately, when any of these players dribbles the ball onto my lawn, I can still yell at him without it getting called!

That's the way I always felt about the furds women's team. And even the men's..I was beyond excultant when that 30-1 furd team lost to Duke in the final four.

This week Kentucky's #2 seed men and #6 seed women both lost in the first round.

And Baylor's #1 seed men and #2 seed women both lost in the second round.

Hah!

I think the Euro step was invented for Euros who otherwise would never be able to make a layup.
