The one positive note about the game I will say was the student section really came alive during the second half of the game. Haas was pretty loud for free throws and defense. Student section was pretty full. Rest of Haas Pavillion was pretty empty though. Gotta give it up for us fellow students

I have a great student fan story from the 60's. A whole group of students, including myself, slept out all night in a line in Lower Sproul in order to be first in line into Harmon for a UCLA game when Kareem was playing. When the doors opened, half of the group rushed to get the best seats in the student section. The other half, all guys, went to get the best seats at the far baseline because that is where the UCLA Pom Pom team would be dancing.
