I'd be ok if we got Ben Bruan's tourney invites.

Ben Braun gave us some of our best years and players. Where we are at is just downright sad. I think we have to boycott these games to enact some sort of change. This is embarrassing - we used to rarely lose at home and now these guys are coming in and just drinking and laughing on us while we don't score for 10 minutes at a time. I for one will definitely not go to a game this year and I am debating whether I can even stomach watching this on tv.

There is no passing...it's askew or Newell throwing up a prayer.

The Cal fans in the background looks super bored and dejected. I wonder if Knowlton paid them to come.

Was UCSB Coach Pasternak on Ben Braun's staff? Didn't they just beat Fresno St. but beat them with our former best player Kelly.

Moraga, someone should of made shirts with the theme being RUN DMC's song Hard Times. The shirts should be passed around the court for all fans watching this game live.

They gave out nice Under Armor Cal basketball tees to the students which helped get a lot of the there on a 3ay weekend. Nice to see good quality shirts given out instead of the crappy Hanes or Gildan tees with ads on them you typically see.

They should start giving out brown bags for us Cal fans to put over our heads. Could use them for football games too.

Obviously, Fox does not have any development coaches nor a shooting coach. They Bears fought hard and never quit. Made a run if it, but an ugly loss

Good 2nd half showing. I'll take the small progress I saw today and be happy!

Nice defensive effort in the 2nd half - KSU managed only 9 for 27 FG (1 for 8 threes) and we out-rebounded them.

At the other end it looks like Askew can play but the team as a whole isn't looking like a well-tuned machine. I'm hoping that improves as the season progresses. 54 points won't win many games.

That stat doesn't include relevant details, like whether KSU hit or missed open threes when these guys were on the floor, but I find it interesting that the two extremes came at the same position.

Not surprising at all. K State was way too quick for Lars. Most teams are.

Best 5 right now are Brown at point, Askew at SG, Newell at SF, Alajiki or KK at PF and Okafor at C. Best offense will be to have Brown penetrate, draw people to him and find guys around the perimeter. Even though we aren't good shooters, perhaps we get lucky and knock a few down. Let's build for the future.

Thiemann - 5-10 minutes (just to give Okafor a blow)
Bowser - 5-10 minutes (gets beat repeatedly on D, not good enough of a shooter to offset his D)
Roberson - 5-10 minutes (shooting form is unusual)
Clayton - no idea (if he can shoot, he probably takes minutes from Bowser and/or Roberson)
Anyanwu - no idea. is he hurt? Is he really worse than Bowser and Roberson?
Hyder - doesn't play even if healthy
Once Celestine comes back, he starts even though we will be undersized. We need his offense

Next year I'm hoping Brown (the freshman) is good enough to start and Curtis is good enough to play 15-20 minutes.
I'd love to pick up a point guard who can take guys off the dribble and force the defense to scramble.

Not much to say about the game, but even by pac12 standards the officials were terrible. Really, really terrible. Not biased, just off on half their calls. Surprised Fox did not use them as an excuse at the press conference, he is hammering youth and injuries.
