at nooner modern yoga today my brah elite basketball skills/development coach padraig o'brien (works with multiple nba, college & high school players, we worked together back in the day to deliver kingsley o'koroh to coach martin despite padraig telling me the king gotta be more of a bad azz) told me that his client 6'8" 180 lbs 5 star #14 ranked player in the 2023 class cody williams of perry high school (same hs as brayden rhome) committed to colorado ($100,000+ nil)

cody got a 3.8 gpa & his lead cal recruiter was andrew francis who is highly regarded by the family but the failure to recruit his older bro back in the day hurt the bears...reality is that in speaking with numerous aau, high school & trainers/development coaches the current men's basketball staff is not considered active or particularly likable with the exception of andrew francis...quite a few past & current players actually strongly dislike marty wilson whose got the same stern non relatable personality as the head coach

jalen also had a 3.8 gpa & was very lightly recruited out of high school despite padraig telling me about his absolutely pure shooting stroke (anybody with a basketball iq will honestly tell you that more than half of the guys on this year's roster got uncorrected crooked azz shooting mechanics), i can tell you with 90% confidence that if i had not been terminated from cal basketball that jalen williams would've been a california golden bear...bet

jalen williams ended up at santa clara & was drafted #12 in the 2022 national basketball league draft



both cody & jalen williams should've ended up in berkeley (it should also be pointed out that 2 of padraig's biz partners are cal grads), the point here is that it takes a lifetime to build a love affair with cal basketball but only 2 emails to terminate that love

why did the bears lose tonite?

once again, more than half of the players on this year's roster got uncorrected crooked azz shooting mechanics which has manifested in the team shooting an abysmal 28.6% on 3 pointers this season...combined with the slow tempo of play, this team will struggle to score 60 points in most games

and now for the bad news, poor shooting mechanics will reveal themselves even more on the road at faraway venues away from haas

the head coach makes his excuses to the athletic director that cal can never get nba players because of academics & the lack of a practice facility, jimmy "shell game" k repackages those excuses to the few remaining well intended but naive oligopolist donors...maybe the funniest thing ive been told in a long time is califortunate (who i truly luv as a human being) told me that ima "person non grata within the athletic department"...newsflash: jimmy k is not a fan of the monster, who knew?

fix the crooked azz shooting strokes via better developmental coaching & the wins will come

hire a relentlessly recruiting head coach (preferably joe pasternak) that surrounds himself with 3 under 30 energized as **** assistant coaches in conjunction with cal's monster class & the nba prospects will come

yeah cody & jalen williams should be in berkeley

I actually think we would be better off just letting Knowlton take his $1 million a year salary and retire now. Give a nominal increase to your bud Andrew and go on. Oh, and fire Fox mid-season. Have one of the assistants or Braun be interim.

jb, did you know that courtney from dublin high school gotta 3.5 gpa???

fox tole jimmy "shell game" k to tell the donors that anderson like every elite basketball player on the west coast don't got the academic profile for berkeley

calalumnus, ima very friendly guy who probably talks to more donors than just about anybody other than roxy or maybe paws, not a single person has told me that andrew mcgraw wouldn't absolutely be the best possible candidate to replace jimmy "shell game" k, he would be ready to make the necessary informed tough decisions at 7:14 am on day 1

alky, u r arguably the least knowledge current season tix fan of the current men's basketball program & that's ok, the monster is not here to judge anyone

when coach martin left tennessee the king was very uncertain re: his future collegiate plans tho at 7'1" he had several p5 options which are not listed at this fan site screen shot, coming from darby england he had not travelled the united states & very uncertain re: his future plans at that point

my yoga brah padraig o'brien consulted on a regular basis with his phoenix high school westward prep which was coached by jai steadman, both padraig & the monster were factors in the king committing to cal despite never taking an official visit to berkeley

my source on all of this is the king who still communicates like all of my cal's monster class recruits with both me & taylor, kingsley recently sent me an email letting me know he'd like to return to the desert when his professional basketball days come to an end preferably in the it consulting profession

alky, u been noticeably jealous of the monster for years & that's ok, u never played the world top 100 courses, u never were a major factor in the most spectacular era of cal men's basketball in the modern era & perhaps u can't do a headstand which is favored by them curvy brunette yoga females

but hopefully ur group conversations with ur friend "mark" r meaningful pluses to ur life

when coach martin left tennessee for cal, multiple assistant coaches from p5 teams told kingsley that he wouldn't make it academically at the #1 ranked public university in the world & that he would flunk out

at that point the king had a slightly better than 3.0 gpa at a below average academic high school on the socioeconomically disadvantaged west side of phoenix so these scare tactics were definitely on his mind

that's where padraig who worked with the king in trying to just jam the ******* basketball without dribbling 1st (always like to tell him that "dribbling is not your friend" which would always make coach martin smirk) & the monster reassured him that he got the intellect to successfully graduate from berkeley

would always joke with the king during his berkeley days re: how the **** did such a smart guy like him have such a dumb azz gpa in high school?...he would bashfully admit he really did't work hard in the classroom at that point in his life, he just slid by doing the minimum, which changed once he got to berkeley...his dad is a professor at the university of darby & his brother is a champion weight lifter and a medical professional, the king is as smart as anyone & mentally limitless

civil bear, reading internet scouting/recruiting reports is fine but them seldom tell the full story, raise ur hand if you knew that josh gershon was with lindsay brauner & yanni the nite they went drinking together after the cal/arizona basketball game at haas?

yeah it's good to the king, it's gooooood to be the kiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnngggggg

Shockey, your age and the desert sand are continuing to cloud your thinking.

The Brown/Raab era was certainly not "the most spectacular era of cal men's basketball in the modern era." In fact, I would rank that squad and its egg-laying qualities no better than the fourth best squad, or "era," since 1990. Trust me, I know, I saw virtually every game with my own eyes.

But, you haven't been around Cal long enough to know jack **** about any other eras. I mean, how would you know? You're just a newcomer...an insurance salesman living in a God forsaken desert wasteland far to the East.
