I wonder if Fox lobbyist Bill Walton will be on the color mic for the contest?
I think he shows up for the Pac-12 games. Ben and/or Monty seem to do the OOC games.

Ok I've been advised by a couple people who I deeply respect that it's not the right thing to do and would be disrespectful; I am going to use this as redirection and do something much more fun at the expense of Stanford.

I will say that I do not respect Fox. To continually blame the lack of effort or preparedness of players, to state that he "knew what [he] was signing up for" 4 years into his tenure after going out to the worst start for a major conference team in 40 years, to so incapably run a program that any semblance of moderate talent transfers, to be so bad at connecting with players that Devin punches an exit sign in the tunnel and screams on the court and in the locker room, to have a former Cal basketball legend tell me he's a "f---ing dumb-ss" outside a Haas bathroom, to refuse to change up the staff after years of abysmal failure- he has absolutely none of my respect and I wish to see him gone whenever the funds are available. He is a pathetically bad HC and is going to produce the most losses for a major conference team in history, that is all but certain.

But again, from people I have a lot of respect for here, I've been told that the Firefox stunt isn't right. I'll do something better at the expense of Stanford. Thanks for the input everyone, I seriously appreciate it and there's a reason I asked first here; I value the opinion of you guys who are wiser (and probably more mature) than I
I agree regarding the Firefox posters - might embarrass the players. But T-shirts have a nice ring:
  • Shows a little more commitment than a poster - but pretty easy/cheap to order online
  • If you can get say 50 people to buy them and then sit together at a game, it will have visual impact. You might even be starting a movement.
  • Let some of the local media know (Jake Curtis & Jeff Faraudo at SI, Adam Silver at the Chron, Daily Cal), I'll bet they'd mention it - those guys are always looking for content which requires zero effort on their parts.
  • Your ultimate goal would be to get coverage on a Pac-12 game where Walton was part of the crew. He wouldn't ignore it.

I agree. A large group of students attending the games in Firefox shirts with no text on them would be awesome and would likely catch on to more and more students.

The kids on our team must feel they will win decisively after covering the spread by 10.5 vs # 4.

If I'm in marketing for Firefox, I see an opportunity...

Exactly the same. I don't see how one win against a team that would have been an automatic win before Fox and Jones changes anything other than taking away my morbid curiosity to see whether Fox can set a D1 record by going winless.

I am on the fence about going but I have a question to ask the fans here

My friends & I were thinking of pulling a stunt where we sneak in papers with the Firefox logo on them and hand them out to everyone in the student section. Good idea or disrespectful? Gimme your honest opinions
I'm with all the people who say go for it. I have never, ever detested a Cal person like I do Fox... since his hire, since that first awful talk to the team... and everything since. I loathe him. It infuriates me he is making so much money to be so gawd awful. So, I say, HAVE AT IT... Except, fire fox stuff is too easy... You're Cal students... I'd change it up. I'd have stuff that hits hard:

Our classmates deserve better

$1.6M for THIS???

Every game, Fox's cost per loss goes down

We're here for the players

If Fox were an SAT score, he'd be 400

Have you no shame?

Wish WE knew what we were getting into

Get Monty on speed dial

etc... etc... etc..
