Cal football has pushed me to the edge......and.....I come here and find out Cal basketball

It's safe to remove the "almost" at this point. At almost any other school, Fox would have ever been hired. At almost any other school, if Fox were hired, he would have been fired 2 seasons ago. At no other school would Fox have been extended and at no other school would Fox still be allowed on campus right now. It's pure malfeasance, sabotage, and/or egregious negligence.
