I like looking specifically at offensive efficiency in evaluating coaches for their Xs and Os and general strategic vision.

Cal really missed the boat with Dennis Gates who is now 9-1.

However, Legans is showing some promise at Portland. It wil be interesting to see how the season goes. Pasternak and DeCuire are kind of meh by comparison.

But if all the firepower that is sitting on the bench was available, Cal might be in the top 300.

Going back to Campanelli, which is far back as I go, only Monty was a good offensive coach. I have suffered more than enough bad coaching for one lifetime.

Bozeman gets partial credit for having enough sense to give Kidd the ball and let him run the offense.
