Not only is there no joy in watching my favorite pass time, there is no interest in other pac 12 or national games. I used to watch all the pac 12 games hoping some would win and some would lose to help us finish higher in the conference with the hope of an ncaa bid .

I have developed an uncharacteristic interest in the nfl.

WHAT A GIANT FUCLA

We Cal fans are a tortured lot.

But a part of me is thinking that maybe, just maybe, our paranoia and grave perspective is extreme. Maybe Knowlton is being tight-lipped about Fox's future. Maybe the wheels are already in motion on a recovery plan. Why do I think this? Because it's simply UNFATHOMABLE that we would bring back our coach after the worst season in program history. Nobody wins in this scenario. Yes, there's the buyout but donors have stepped up in the past, why would we expect them to stop when we are at rock bottom?

Why are the next 45 days significant? Cal basketball has been unwatchable since 2020, and unenjoyable since Martin left 3 years before that.

Because they have become disengaged.

"Martin finishes his career at Missouri with a 78-77 record overall, and a 35-53 record in SEC play.* While he turned around a program that went 8-24 the year before his arrival and led it to a 2013 the next season, Missouri never had NCAA tournament success under his watch." Mar 11, 2022

*Each SEC win Cuonzo delivered cost Missouri $600,000.

Just shows you how much easier it is to win at Cal if you have a half decent coach.

Only compared with the guy who undoubtedly has the highest earnings per win (ie is the most overpaid) of any current basketball coach at ANY level.
