I don't think Vanover is a good fit for Madsen's offense, as he's too slow (although he does have a 3 pointer .... how bout 5 out?)

Between college and the pros Madsen has played in a variety of systems and my sense is he is smart enough to adjust his strategy to fit his personnel. His "preferred" playing style (fast) is as much about attracting good players as utilizing them.

On the defensive end Cal was playing 4 on 5 when Twin Pigtail Boy was in. He is going to end up playing in more college programs than Joe Montana's sons did.

As an official CV Fanboy, okay, I am biased, but I thought Vanover, over the course of that season, went from "total defensive liability", to "often competent, occasional disruptor". Never seen anybody improve like that.
