What are these announcers smoking? I wasn't really paying attention when I heard them say the coach 'doesn't throw players under the bus' and that he takes responsibility, and I had to rewind to verify which coach he was taking about, because I was sure he couldn't POSSIBLY be talking about Fox, but he was. I don't think the announcers have heard many of Fox's postgame press conferences.

It's not Bowser - the coaches have wronged him and everyone else of their growth as players.

Every loss starting after the first loss of the year is all on Knowlton. Can't blame the coach anymore - he showed us early on that his ceiling was the floor of most d2 coaches.

With every dreadful loss I feel more other team envy. Before the Furd game I watched Ohio State-Indiana in hoosierland just wanted to check in on Sueing. The place was packed, the fans were going crazy, hard fought game, everything I love about college basketball. Then you've got St. Mary's, small private school a few miles away that has won 10 on a row, could take out the Zags, and are a tournament lock. Serious other team envy.
There's no point anymore in saying Fox sucks for the 1,000th time. Knowlton has to listen to the people, tear it all down and start from scratch. But are the people actually getting the message to him? Not sure how… this forum sometimes just feels like pissing in the wind.

Like Shepherd last year and Bradley before that, Askew was asked to save us from our offensive woes (so we would be merely bad instead of horrific). Can't blame him for not being the savior.

Yes, Bowser was better in high school.

Knowlton's hiring of Fox showed his incompetence as an AD. However, after three years and a new Cal record for PAC-12 losses his mistake should have been obvious even to someone who has no understanding of basketball and modern athletics.

Thus his EXTENSION of Fox shows his lack of intelligence and basic critical thinking or unwillingness to admit he made a mistake. It was just straight up fiscal mismanagement.
