I went through all of this after seaosn 2 of Fox and didn't renew after 30+ years. I had two chairbacks in section 2 - midway up. I think most season ticket holders left then or after last season.

Put me in that group

My group of four had season tickets from 1984 until the start of the pandemic. At that point, we made a decision based on team performance to forego the tickets.

During that almost 35 year span, we contributed to the conversion from Harmon to Haas, and bought season tickets in the chairbacks.

Games were events to plan our schedules around. We looked forward to them and enjoyed them. Everything from ending the Streak, Midnight Madness, the Suns/Warriors exhibition game, to beating #1 Arizona. Even during the down years it was something to look forward to. Sadly, this is no longer true. We are happy to (not) watch games from home. Maybe it's just age, but I used to think they would have to wheel me in for my later years.

It would take a 360 degree turnaround to get us to consider returning.

Knowlton does not think that season ticket holders and alumni should have anything to say about our revenue sports. So he is probably happy that the stands are increasingly empty.
