He recruits chronically injured players, works them so hard in practice more are injured, and works them harder when they lose to the point of causing major injuries. Totally unacceptable. Criminal..
agree he recruits some players with injury histories, but to be fair, how do you know "he works them so hard in practice more are injured, and works them harder when they lose to the point of causing major injuries?"
A guess because I never see players injured in a game, except Askew. Plus Fox wont allow anyone at practices.
so you're making assumptions, okay

Well, if they aren't injured in the game, I suppose they might get hurt on their way to class or puttering around the house - but practice is a pretty strong guess.

But UCSB has lost 3 of their last 5.

Maybe JP isn't all that.
I blame his lack of real estate experience

I, unfortunately, watched it again. He didn't say anything about working players in practice till they barf.

but if I need to watch another Fox 'inspirational' speech it might be the end of me

The comment about working the players so hard he had "players going to the trash cans" was reportedly made a donor event. The fights due to rough play in practice were reportedly back when Bradley was on the team as reported by anonymous posters here. Consider it rumor and hearsay.

But he mentions "conditioning" all the time (ironic for a guy that has his team play at the slowest pace of any team in the entire country). He often refers to the players "battling hard" or "locking horns" in practice. He makes it well known that defensive "intensity" is what he values and the way to earn playing time is to demonstrate that in practice. And the players practice nearly every day, many more hours per week than the actual games. So it is not a stretch to guess that injuries are occurring in practice, but since Fox does not allow observers in practice and discussions of injuries is limited in large part by HIPAA, we don't know and it cannot be confirmed. Dismiss it as unsubstantiated conjecture if you wish.
