What players are going?

When Boeheim had good players at Syracuse, I thought the zone defense was sort of fascinating to watch because they seemed to generate turnovers from it.

UW is #61 in Defensive Efficiency according to Ken Pom, which is not great (UCLA is #2) but is not horrible (Cal is #215).

I probably can't make it, but I hope to go to the WSU game to cheer on the seniors (still love that moment).

Saw some UW highlights yesterday. That #34 looked like a monster. Braxton Meah. Listed 7-1, 250. Didn't look that tall, but long arms and athletic. From California (sigh... ). Lars is gonna have his hands full.

If anybody needed one, that should be the final indictment on Fox. Fairly experienced roster, seven-footer in the middle and decent height, PG who defends on the ball pretty well... and we suck at defense (supposedly his specialty... well, by process of elimination).

Lars does well when he's not double-triple teamed (e.g. AZ has the top back court in the country with 2 seven-footers, but they only defend him one-on-one ... Lars has had two of his best games vs AZ)

so we will see how UW defends Lars (but I assume they will zone, and collapse on anyone driving, or on any post who gets the ball in the paint

that means Nowell will have to bust their zone again with his mid-range (Okafor and Lars also can hit that mid-range)

Kinda crazy, isn't it: Teams "double-triple" teaming Lars... and we can't take advantage.

Was speaking more of Lars needing to defend and rebound against #34; he seems much quicker than Lars.

I continue to like Okafor's potential!

If Cal can keep Kieon (Keon?) Brooks in check, they have a good chance against the Huskies. They should tell Alajiki to follow him all over the court.

Fair enough - if Sam was literally following him on defense, that wouldn't do much good, would it?

The most important questions are:

1. Which color commentator will be rubbing our nose in our doo doo tonight?

2. How many times will the broadcast team point out what a tremendous coach MF is and that he is snake bit by bad luck injuries?

3. What inane subjects will the broadcast team banter about when the game becomes uncompetitive?

4. How long will I last watching Custer's Last Stand at Haas before I watch the season finale of Undercover?
