"Myron Medcalf: I hate to sound like a high school coach, but where was the effort in the last 10 minutes of the game? Arizona played with arrogance. "

I was amazed watching the game how disengaged UA seemed to be. Arrogance is a good word and so is dismissive. There was zero urgency. I normally root for P12 teams in the tourney. But no way I root for UCLA or USC this time. UA is out and I am glad. First team in NCAA history to lose twice to a 15 seed as a 2 seed.

Hey UA enjoy your historic moment.

Bummed I didn't watch it. Do they run the traditional P offense with the myriad of backdoor cuts?

What is being lost in the Princeton win over Arizona is that it remains the case that only one Pac-8/10/12 team has ever defeated Princeton in the history of the NCAA MBB tournament.

Thanks Ben Braun, thanks Randy Duck, Tony G., Al Grigsby, Yogi Stewart, Sean Marks, Prentice McGruder, and Anwar McQueen!!

GO BEARS!!!

Tony G was the Bears' second leading scorer in the game, 13 points, behind Randy Duck's 16. Tony was 5-10 from the floor, 3-6 from the line, with 5 boards, in 30 minutes, and played solid D that didn't show in the box score. A 3 point win that we don't very likely get without Tony.

Depending on who our new coach is and how well we do in the transfer portal, I would not be surprised if there is at least one guy on the football team that can contribute and provide depth next year as a walk-in. Right now our front line is Okafor and a skinny incoming freshman?

Yeah, not big stats but if you watched the game it seemed like Princeton couldn't handle his size and aggression. Even Villanova (a much larger team) had trouble with him in the next round.
