You are Madsen. You are now the Cal coach. What are you biggest priorities in each of these areas:

Coaches?
Players?
Donors?
Bureaucrats?
Fans?
Facilities?

I ask because I have no idea what I would in each of these areas.

Coaches- bring in Randle, maybe another former Cal player and… someone who has deep west coast aau ties
Players-am definitely scoping the transfer portal for a pg and shore up the incoming guys and those who remain. The pantry isn't completely bare.
Donors- shmooze!!!!!!!!!!
And that's where so many of you are way smarter and more connected than me. What would you do/ what should he do?

He has to assemble a staff and rerecruit those kids in the portal he wants to keep. Absolutely needs one if l not two point guards. And relentless communicate to stakeholders to make up for the failings of his boss.

GET PLAYERS AND THEY WILL COME!

Madsen should memorize this speech, substitute "Haas" for "Iowa" and "basketball" for "baseball and delete the references to "Ray". Invite the big donors to a meeting in the stands at Haas and let 'er rip.
