I know one of you smart Bear fans can help with this. Based on the Meadows transfer being the last move, where do we stand on open schollies for the upcoming season, and what is the current class breakdown? I appreciate if someone can post.

Cone (transfer Sr)
Askew (returning Sr)
Brown (freshman)
Meadows (transfer Sr)
Wings:
Newell (returning So)
Celestine (returning Sr)
Bowser (returning Jr)

Okafor (returning So)
Curtis (freshman)
and then we have one more silent commit from the transfer portal (I think a wing), which would bring us to a total of 11. Two more spots left, looking at hopefully some combination of Tyson, Woodbury and Bandaogo.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think Celestine should have three years of eligibility remaining and Askew should have 2, based on both playing during 20-21 (the free Covid year).LOUMFSG2 said:

Also, would be really nice if we could pick up one more significant true freshman to balance the classes out.
Regarding years, I didn't adjust for COVID, so you are right, some of the players have that additional year of eligibility remaining
The list on Verbal Commits is accurate and places the players in the "year" that shows how many years they have left.

One thing though, to BerkeleyBAT's point, shouldn't Celestine be listed in the "Freshmen" column, since he would seem to have three years of eligibility remaining after not playing at all this year, and having the extra COVID year?
