On what basis? Is it likely the appeal will be granted? Are their new reasons why he might expect the ncaa might change their minds?

Guesses are appreciated.

My guess is 50/50, leaning towards it being granted, just because they seem to often rule in favor of the players lately and also maybe he's hired professional help to make the case.

100% - Athletes mental health is taken seriously as well......and that position is hopefully well stated.

To clarify - I meant I 100% agree with you and the outcome is 50/50 but sure hoping as Tre would be a Huge addition.

I know this could be a ridiculous question, but how long do these appeals take on average? I know some are more straightforward than others and some get drawn out for a long time, but…

Would be nice, but I just don't see him coming to Cal.

Not shocked. Any idea on Trey?

I have no idea how Trey's appeal will work out, but my understanding is that Trey injured his knee prior to the beginning of the 2021-2022 regular season, and then proceeded to miss the entire regular season. However, he was healthy enough to return for the WAC tournament, and chose to play what ended up being two games in that Tournament. I think if he played the first two games of the season and then got hurt with a season ending injury, the medical redshirt would be pretty automatic, in fact, I think you can play up to 30% of your teams games, and still qualify for the medical redshirt if the injury is season-ending. However, because he came back and played after the injury, I'm not sure what the basis and circumstances would need to be to grant the additional year of eligibility in this case, where the injury was not season-ending

I'm just curious if there's a plan B if it doesn't work. Maybe just holding on to the scholarship.

I know that is how the rules are spelled out, but it seems so strange to punish a guy for trying to come back at the end of the season to help his team. 2 games is 2 games(at least to me!).
