Bears Pull in Big Official Visit with Top 40 PG Vyctorius Miller

The resurgent Cal basketball program continued its recruiting momentum, lining up an official visit this weekend from top 2024 PG Vyctorius Miller.

The 6-5/170 Crean Lutheran point guard is rated a stellar .9847 4 star composite rating by 247 recently took an official visit to LSU and holds additional offers from USC, Arizona, Oregon, Wake Forest, Auburn, Georgetown and more. 

A commitment from a player of Miller’s caliber could give the Bears the type of prep recruiting credibility the program has lacked for years and be a strong step in blending talented young players with stellar portal recruits under head coach Mark Madsen’s new staff.

Miller was also teammates with Cal frosh point guard Rodney Brown‍ and Devin Curtis‍ on West Coast Elite and is close to both, particularly Brown.

"Vyctorius is the most high profile visit maybe in the last 10 years since Ivan Rabb and Jaylen Brown in since the Cuonzo Martin days," West Coast Elite coach Ryan Silver said.

"He's played in almost every single Steph Curry camp and. every elite setting in high school basketball He has great potential and can really score at his size. He's a good facilitator at his size. He's got good athleticism. He's very versatile he can guard multiple different positions. He's a good, good player.

"He can run a team and do a lot of different things. He's a very versatile player. He can play on the ball or off the ball. He can play mulitiple different positions.

Silver also had good things to say about the Cal staff, particularly new head coach Mark Madsen and assistant coach Matt Scherbenske.

"Mark's been unbelievable,” Silver said. He's reached out to several successful people I'm connected with and he's killed it. And Matt's very connected throughout the country. Obviously spent time in Central Arkansas, at Texas Tech. Just extremely connected."
