The Cal Basketball Halftime Knockout Championship
It would work like this:
8 teams in brackets:
6 teams with two players from a frat and two players from a sorority.
1 team made up from 2 band members and 2 Rally Committee members.
1 team made from 2 Cal clubs (e.g. robotics club and entrepreneur club)
It takes 7 games to crown the championship, which would be held on the last home game
The champion team wins a prize and trophy (for a year of bragging rights), which they keep until the next season of this annual event
Anyone who has played or watched knockout understands this is a fun, short game that can be played with any skill-level players. It's a common game at schools and parks, and often played when one or more players have zero or low basketball experience. Here is a video of how it is played
