Madsen has no clue how to come from behind with less than a minute remaining. Down 7 with :34 and we don't foul until there is less than :10 on the shot clock? Makes no sense.

A lot like the Colorado game, actually, with the roof starting to cave in a little earlier tonight, for the visiting team. Shots from beyond the arc (for and against) were a problem for us over the last 60% of the game.

Cone and Celestine hurt Cal tonight. They both had a terrible shooting night and Celestine could not fight through picks and close out in the perimeter. Cone missed two FT's, plays poor perimeter defense, but he did well not having any turnovers. If he had a sold game shooting Cal would have won. He is too small as a PG with no penetration and getting easy layups.

Like a bad gambler who gets up big (our 16pt first half lead) and starts to have a little bad luck (a few missed shots mixed and oregon 3s), so he bets bigger and bigger (firing up 3s) until it's all gone.

I just hope Madsen is capable of gathering the right type of talent to enhance this squad next year. I don't think the problem is that the team isn't jelling. They seem to play well together. They just don't make a lot of baskets.

I don't mind that strategy since we'll beat some better teams with it. Today we cooled off to hit 6 of 24 threes and Oregon heated up to hit 10 of 28. All the other stats were close so threes were the difference. We just need the right players taking them when they're open.

Yah unless JT has complete confidence in that pass (practice, practice, practice - Harden worked on that with Zubac for the Clippers when he first got to LA, and now that roll and alley oop game is perfection), he has to know that is low percentage, yet he seemed in between on that like 3 separate times, all with empty trips.
