Yeah but - I think the 12,000 figure was set to cover some minimum requirement for hosting NCAA tourney games

How did that NCAA hosting thing work out? We did host a couple of NIT games (which I attended), and the fan attendance would have made a CYO gym look cavernous.*

*Which I suppose is a blessing when Cal State Bakersfield eats your breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I was sitting right next to the major UCLA area and they were loud but 1000 of them?

A tough loss but the grit of this team and M's enthusiasm is so welcome after the wasted years.
