Jalen Lewis from Bishop O'Dowd (alma mater of Ivan Rabb) was the number 2 ranked recruit in the class of 2023. He was a versatile, 6'8'' big man. Mark Fox had a multi-year plan to recruit him that included recruiting his teammates Bowser and Roberson. But in 2021, after his sophomore year, Lewis went pro with Overtime Elite after being offered 6 figures.

I tracked Lewis every so often. It seemed like his star diminished some while playing for Overtine Elite as his future draft ranking went down. But he still seemed like a strong NBA prospect. Now I can't find anything about him on the internet. He last posted on twitter a year ago. Maybe he is somewhere on Instagram but it is not obvious.

If nothing else there should be news on him as a cautionary tale. But I see nothing. Anyone know anything?

He hasn't posted on all of his socials recently. He's not even on the overtime website. I wonder what happened too.

Yes, they probably do, but I don't know them.

I do hope he is okay. I am not trying to criticize him for not choosing Cal. His path made sense, but for some reason it did not work (yet).

He has successfully pulled off a Ken Wahl (not photographed for at least 25 years and none of the photos purporting to be him are him).

Now that we are in the NIL era and no longer coached by Mark Fox, I wonder if Lewis might see college as a better route? The NCAA would lose in court if they tried to deny his eligibility. Madsen and our Collective should contact him and offer.

Good research. Maybe his contract ran out at the end of 2023 and he is searching for a new team. It could be that he is NCAA eligible as calumunus mentioned.

I see that he has grown a couple inches. He would certainly help.

Maybe he can be our center next year. His stats aren't off the charts in OTE, but has shown flashes. We'd have to pay him six figures with a low floor but high ceiling. Could he be the next Ivan Rabb?

To add on, from what I've seen, he's left OTE. If you look up his bio on OTE, it's been taken down. I REALLY hope Madsen has reached out to him with an offer to come to Berkeley.

I know there's an educational component to Overtime Elite, but does it have the accreditation necessary for his grades to be accepted at Cal?
