With NIT out of the picture and the CBI being for only mid-majors, the only tourney we have a chance to get in is march madness. We'd have to pull an Oregon State in the Pac-12 tourney which is unlikely.

The NIT is not completely out of the picture, a good run in the P12 combined with say, Colorado winning it would put us in the NIT bubble.

The CBI is not "only for mid majors" it is for the best teams not invited to the NCAA and NIT who are willing to pay the entrance fee. Oregon won it about a decade ago.

There are too many PAC-12 teams above us in NET ranking to get into the NIT. It is no longer mathematical possible.

The easier to understand problem is the NIT and CBI never invite anyone with a losing record. We are 13-17 and if we beat Stanford we are 14-17. If we lose the PAC-12 Tournament Finals we are 17-18.

Our ONLY goal now is to win the PAC-12 Tournament and finish 18-17, go to the NCAA Tournament with the auto bid. It is do or die. Win or go home beginning with the first game in Vegas. Keep winning and we are National Champs. That is it. There will be no consolation tournament. Go big or go home.
