Just curious if anyone else watched it. I was rooting for UCLA to win to get us into the 7 seed.

I can't recall the last time I watched a game that contained shifts of dominance that lasted for so many extended minutes. ASU jumped out to a 13-5 lead before the first TV timeout. For the next 7 minutes UCLA went on a 18-0 run to lead 23-13. Then, the rest of the half ASU outscored the Bruins 18-4 to lead 31-27 at halftime.

Second half more of the same. At the halfway point of the second half ASU is up 42-33. Bruins only scored 4 points in ten minutes. Finally, the last ten minutes sees UCLA outscored ASU 26 to 4. Final 59-47.

If I had to use one word to describe it it would be "choppy." Can't decide if it was due to good defense, or horrible offense, but concluded it was a combination of both.

The one real standout was Bona, who had 20 points, 12 rebounds, and went 8-8 from the line. Also ASU was only 5-14 from the free throw line, at one point they missed 6 out of 7.

Hoping the Bears regroup and use the resulting seeding schedule to their advantage. I think going into yesterday it was the best we could hope for.

Hope you do t mind a different point about the game (I watched a bit and agree with your take), but I was sorry to see the last on-campus Pac12 game be ucla-asu. It should've been ucla-Arizona; the two dominant programs in the conference's history. Not a big deal, but a little bit of a missed opportunity.

To your point even better would have been all teams playing their rivalry game, but I'm sure the schedule was in place long before the league fell apart. Subject to interpretation, but maybe the true final conference game comes next Saturday. Hope the Cal Bears are in it.
