Had a few good tournament runs and got to the Elite Eight in 2002 but then got hit with recruiting violations (meager stuff in today's NIL environment) and tailed off the last few seasons, last year Dennis Gates was a hot commodity after a good first season but now...sonofabear51 said:

Every word that came out of Gates' mouth last year, he sounded like a genius. This year, it's like his IQ got halved. And yet, he's the same person he was before.
