My first reaction to this is screw U$C, no way. However, looking at it pragmatically, it helps us a little bit, recruiting in SoCal (where we haven't been really strong lately). Probably helps us more than $C.

In your honor, I submit for your approval, a thread theme song:

*Man, is that a great live vocal performance or what. From the days when people actually had talent and put in the 10,000 hours.

This is clearly one of the stipulations LeBron made in order to send us Bronny for next season.

I'm in.

For both recruiting and connection with SoCal alums: I am in favor of continuing to play UCLA in football and USC in basketball. Long Beach State could be good too, but USC is better.

Screw $C!

I'd much rather wash my hands of those sorry cheaters. I have friends who attended school there; they're fine people, but they're more the exception than the rule at $C, where the institution's overall culture is one of lying, cheating, and stealing.

If Cal is to schedule any games in SoCal (aside from LBSU, the Cal States, and the San Diego schools), I'd much prefer the games be against Pepperdine or UCLA. While UCLA agreed to $C's plans (at the behest of Fox Sports and ESPN) to screw the Pac (including Cal in the process), at least that's a real university that doesn't advocate lying, cheating, and stealing as an acceptable norm.

Seriously, screw $C!
