How long do you want to ignore this user?
This morning I receive an email from gobears stating that if I buy a ticket to the men's game Monday I am able to "claim" a free ticket to the preceeding women's game at 6pm.

The email leads me to the "buy tickets" link to the men's basketball website but nowhere does it indicate specifically how to accomplish the bonus ticket to the women's game.

I call 1-800-gobears and speak to two representatives who have no clue what the answer is. In fact, one of them admitted to me that he wasn't even aware of it. I told him I wasn't hallucinating, that I'm looking at this email adverstisement. He suggests to wait until Monday and buy the ticket at the game, but I could tell he wasn't really sure. Honestly, if I'm going to the men's game I would rather choose my seat now, not later. Anyway, the conversation ultimately went nowhere. At least I can vent my frustration here.

Based on previous years' arrangements, you just show up at the box office for the women's game, show that you have a ticket to the men's game, and they will give you a ticket. You never "buy" a ticket to the women's game. The advertisement probably just poor wording.

Your comment is so clear and logical that I have faith in it. You would think that if the AD is going to advertise something they would let their own workers know. I think I'll buy the men's ticket and bring the email with me. Thanks for the advice.

I have season tickets for both men's and women's basketball. Are they offering WBB ticket holders free admission to the men's game? Wondering if i will have access to 2 extra tickets for the men's game.

Cal Athletics just posted a 'reminder' on Twitter and Facebook that WBB ticket holders can get free tickets for tonight's MBB game near entry 1 or entry 4/5. They really need to communicate better with their season ticket holders, since I've been looking for this info for the last few days and couldn't find anything saying that we would be able to get comp tickets to the men's game tonight with our WBB tickets. I looked back in my emails, and found an email from 10/30 from men's basketball, saying that we could get free admission to the women's game with our men's tickets (with no details of how), but I don't have any email stating that we can get free MBB tix with our WBB tickets.

"Hoops is back!!

Doubleheader reminder: if you have a Cal Women's basketball ticket, you can exchange it for a FREE Cal Men's Basketball ticket near entry 1 on the first floor or near entry 4/5 on the 3rd floor."
