Our offense has gone cold.
CSUB has turned up their defensive intensity. Give them credit, they are a good team.

It's CSUB, we'll see. He moves like Paris Austin with a shot though. Jitterbug quick and flashy with the handle and the passes but can get a bit wild.ducky23 said:75bear said:
Blacksher is the real deal - his handle is magnificent.
We haven't seen a pure floor general this good since I don't know…maybe randle. Maybe cobb? Guy plays as composed as a 10 year NBA vet

AS too aggressive too early. Maybe MM is encouraging him to become the go-to?
My Early Favorites:
Blacksher and Omot

- ....... I hope to see Curtis get some minutes - it looks like he worked hard in the offseason to get stronger and practicing against Sissoko/Dort should also help.
The ESPN website/app stores all the ACC Network stuff. Just log in and search for it.polarbear said:
I missed the game- does anyone know if there is a replay available anywhere? And regarding future games- since there is no more Pac 12 network or Pac 12 Bay Area what TV channel or streaming service would have them? Thanks!

I watched the game on a 21 inch monitor, so there's that . . .
- Blacksher is one of those guys for whom the game has slowed down in his brain and it allows him to play fast or slow depending on the situation. He's a pleasure to watch. Jordan Shepherd was the last Cal player I recall who played this way. This is in contrast to Askew who just played slow.
- Tucker (at least I think it was Tucker) looked a little overwhelmed out there, but it's only the first game and Bakersfield did play tough defense.
- I'm not a huge Ben Braun fan as a color announcer. He's ok, but Montgomery had much more incisive (and dryly sarcastic) comments which added to a broadcast.
- I hope to see Curtis get some minutes - it looks like he worked hard in the offseason to get stronger and practicing against Sissoko/Dort should also help.
- Overall, I'm encouraged! The ACC is a big-boy conference when it comes to basketball, but Cal looks to be competitive.

I like the fact that we beat a team that was not a cupcakestu said:
I could watch only the 2nd half on TV. Pleased with the win and plenty of newcomers looking good. Not so pleased we had to win the game at the line and with all of our depth we lost the 2nd half.
Not sure how good, but they looked athletic and made us work for the win, the high sciring transfer is a playersycasey said:
Is CSUB supposed to be good? They weren't good last year.
