This is one of the deepest teams that we've had in years.

This team will surprise people and I'm projecting an 18 - 13 record (9-11 in conference play).

Cal will go 9-2 in the non-con schedule with the other loss being AT Missouri.

Need to find a way to win 2 more. A tourney appearance would be marvelous.

JF, I give you credit for having the guts to make a prediction.

That being said, it still feels like its too early to know for sure. As long as we stay competitive I'm happy. Also there's a chance that at some point in the season an 11th player gets some spot time in the rotation. It will be interesting to see.

Larsen might get some time if one of the bigs goes down. But huge drop off.

Just three weeks ago, this was your quote: "When you lose to Saint mary's by 35 and to santa clara by 12, it's a long long year incoming"

Just sayin...

I trust Madsen and am happy if we have some non-zero probability of making THE tournament.

I cringe when thinking of facing the ACC with the Fox-team of two years ago.

Why have we never been able to defend against the 3? I feel like our turnover margin will improve over time as the team gels a bit more, but it has seriously been my entire life that we haven't been able to guard against the 3, or at least as long as I can remember. Sometimes we get lucky and teams just go cold there, but we are masters at giving opponents WIDE OPEN looks from beyond the arc, and I don't see any improvement with the Madsen regime. Outside of that, there is little to argue with from Mad Dog, and I hope he has a plan to clean that up. If we keep playing more fundamental ball as the season goes on, and find a way to stop open looks from 3, I really do think we have the potential to be a tournament team THIS year. Would be amazing.
