Is Madden ever gonna teach the big guys to go back up after a rebound and not take it to the floor, or nah?

He is absolutely earning more PT at PG, and maybe at the 2
Probably depending on his defense how much PT he gets and depending on match ups
He looks to help our outside shooting which was a big concern

Seems like Wilkinson is earning himself a starting role. I haven't watched enough, is he a liability of defense?

He seems to be a willing defender, which is a good start, but almost every true freshman is a liability on defense.
Heck, he could end up being a great defender if he prioritizes that part of his game. See Payton II, Gary.

Mercyhurst might be the worst D1 basketball team I've watched (and I've watched more bad teams than I care to admit).

Agreed. His athletic ability alone should allow him to be a solid defender. He has looked good against Air Force and Mercyhurst while likely not having much practice with the starters. So maybe he has some growing pains early against better competition or maybe he just continues to look better as he gets more reps. If he has JOJ and/or Peitras beside him with Sissoki in the paint I would say he should be alright defensively. I think any dip in playing time will be more a result of Blacksher and Campbell's talent than of any potential shortcomings on Wilkinson's part

Tell your friends: Cal's so damn good this season that we whupped the Lakers!
(The Lakers without LeBron tonight, but still... )

Great insight here, especially on him taking reps at 2 vs 1. I'm very excited to see him against top competition, especially with what he's been able to do just a few games into his FRESHMAN season. Didn't know much about him before but he's quickly winning me over, kid is a hooper
Just for fun, (I would have never predicted it), but I guess that title now goes to Sacramento State who lost to them by 6 at home.Bear Haas said:

Doesn't take away from what Cal has done tonight though, lot of guys look really good and they are taking care of business in a professional matter which is far from a guarantee in the college game on any given night
