We got this. Here's the positive point of the day.
After 11 games last year we were 4-7. After 11 games this year we will be 7-4. No way to put a bad filter on that, it's an improvement by any measure.

One more positive note coming out of this weekend. I'm watching USC pummel Montana St. by 20 or more right now. We beat USC. We lost to Montana St. by 3 last year. Ergo… we are a much better team this year. Sometimes that fact gets lost in high expectations.

I heard both of those announced.

Not sure how the athletic program has set this up, but every alum (and famous person) should be announced unless they don't want to be)

At the women's game vs Stanford there were 3 alums and none were announced, including Asha Thomas who made the winning shot vs stanford which was our only other win in the last ten years

As much as the Cal marketing dept has been criticized here, I thought they did a great job with the harry potter game, and the best part were the harry potter look a likes ... I thought you were the best!

Thurman goes to a lot of games but they should be doing something considering he has a big following online now for Californian Views. His page on Instagram is pretty cool!

If the Fernando Mendoza LA Debacle Bowl should tell us hoops fans anything, it's that we should expect zero loyalty from Cal players in the new every-man-for himself system. It's never going to be about the team, the school, or a complete college career, it's about $$ and greed. One minute we're saying how great "Nando" is and getting excited when he shows up to a game at Haas, the next minute he's leaving us high and dry in a bowl game and ensuring yet another losing season on the football side. We're only renting these players. Would not be surprised if all three of the players you mention above hit the portal if we can't get to .500 this season.
