rod, can u offer a 1 sentence DEFENSE strengths/weaknesses evaluation of the 9 bears that allowed the panthers to shoot a lights out virtually uncontested 50% on field goals & 44% on 3 pointers??

Madsen's lack of adjustments and poor game management. It feels like it's a trend where we keep getting really nice leads and then completely blowing them to end the half, then coming out flat with the same game plan in the second half, where every other coach makes adjustments. We fall behind. We make a little comeback run but it's never enough. When you get up big and the other team calls timeout, why not tell the team to play like you're down big and really obliterate them?

As a casual viewer, I get nervous when we get a big lead, expecting us to blow it. Does the team feel the same way? They play like it. Also, do you think Madsen should have yelled and gotten run off to motivate the team in this game? Feels like we were getting hosed and he was more concerned with keeping us from getting into a tussle than he was taking it to the officials. That rubs off as him being a softie, and we subsequently pooped the bed. This is getting really old, really fast. It's year two of what feels like the exact same nonsense. It's not fun to watch.

Madsen got a T in prior game and was definitely on the refs in the crazy last few minutes of first half

I don't think Madsen's ref game is the problem

I do think defense is the main problem(+ turnovers vs aggressive teams)

I think our 2 PGs aren't getting it done on either side of the court

We also badly missing Omot who in my opinion should start, and Ola-Joseph

You hinted about Blacksher not being quite right. He had a completely awful game v. Pitt. I'm guessing he didn't play like that to get GC to the Dance and beat Saint Mary's. He was bricking shots badly, was not play making at all, took a horrible foul 35 feet from the basket with the clock running down (key possession and they had a double bonus at the time). Something is really up, but what?
