Wilkinson scored 20 points but inefficient
Cal shoots 30 FT shots and makes 80% - that's an amazing stat
We lost this game on 3 point shot defense (syracuse shot 8-16 - do the math)

Good turnout by the Syracuse fans. I presume they are folks working in the Bay that have longed to see their team play in the vicinity. They weren't rude like U of A fans or anything. Still, I hate them.

We were shooting 30' threes because we couldn't move the ball around the perimeter fast enough, and rarely made an entry pass into the middle man to crack Syracuse's zone. We were completely unprepared to handle it. It was really quite depressing. I also thought this was a game in which Mahoney should have seen more minutes on the floor. The combination of his shooting ability and size might have given us a better chance.

Agreed - very depressing when the team looks completely unprepared. I'm sure others will say it's a process, two steps forward, one step back, etc. but this game was not a good look for Madsen.
