Not much they can do, IMO. The Warriors and the Lakers are both past their primes (unless the Lakers can somehow land a top big man). Otherwise, maybe they should get LeBron and Steph on the same team and see if they still have some magic left in them.

Amazing how this stuff just falls into the Lakers' laps, every time. Dallas didn't even shop Luka to anyone else.

Showtime. Some franchises just have the cachet.

I've never been much of a bucket list guy, but one thing I always wanted to do was sit courtside at an NBA game... and I did it, Warriors-Lakers! Wouldn't you know, it was in that kinda brief window of post-Magic / pre-Kobe. Probably the least glamorous Lakers' roster in modern history (would have to back and check to even see who played for 'em that night). Price printed on ticket was $110, which seemed like a lot, circa 1995.
